Welcome to Jessica Paz Creates
Hi! Thank you for taking your time to visit my blog. Starting a blog is something I’ve wanted to do for quite sometime but I was worried no one would be interested in what I had to say. How silly! Everyone has something to bring to the table. I’ve pushed past those fears! I can’t wait to share all things knit, crochet, and fiber arts in general with you. Along with some of the other ideas I have planned.
You may be wondering how the coffee in my site photo ties into my knit and crochet. Well, without coffee I wouldn’t be able to function. Coffee plays a huge roll in my daily life, as I’m sure it does a lot of yours too. No matter what I’m doing during the day, or often at night, you’ll always find a cup of coffee by my side.
Why the name change?
One of the biggest decisions in the name change from Jessica Paz Knit and Crochet? I had originally started this journey as Jessica Paz Crochet. When I threw knitting in the mix, I decided to add that to my business name. Well, let me tell you that was a mistake! I announced my name change on Instagram and Facebook before I changed my name on Etsy and Ravelry. Talk about a rookie mistake. Both of those sites only allow 20 characters to a name. Oops! I added links in my bio and hoped for the best. I am sure it has hurt my business some as no one could find me if they searched with my current name. Lesson learned!
I also wanted to be able to expand beyond what I make. My biggest focus will be knit and crochet. However, if I want to expand beyond that I felt like my name limited me. So Jessica Paz Creates was born.
Where I am now.
Fast forward a year and a half, here I am ready to dive in head first and bringing with me all of the tips, tricks, and knowledge I have learned over the years. Along with a few free patterns along the way. Stay tuned….
