
Winter Knit Tree Pattern

The Winter Knit Tree Pattern is beginner friendly and works up fast using super bulky yarn. Before you know it you’ll have a whole forest! They’re perfect to turn into little Christmas trees or use them for winter decor.

US 13/9mm 16” Circular Knitting Needles or 9-10″ straight knitting needles

Poly-fil

Super Bulky (weight 6) 50 yds
Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick
Lion Brand Hometown USA
Lion Brand Go For Faux
Abbreviations:
Co- cast on
Bo- bind off
K- knit
K2tog- knit two stitches together
P- purl
St(s)- stitch(es)
Notes:
The tree is worked flat. You will knit two panels and seam them together using the whip stitch.
The trunk is sewn on.
Use Faux Fur yarn to make a fun, wintry tree!

Row 2:P14
Row 3:K2tog, K10, K2tog (12 sts)
Row 4:P12
Row 5:K2tog, K8, K2tog (10 sts)
Row 6:P10
Row 7:K2tog, K6, K2tog (8 sts)
Row 8:P8
Row 9:K2tog, K4, K2tog (6 sts)
Row 10:P6
Row 11:K6
Row 12:P6
Row 13:K2tog, K2, K2tog (4 sts)
Row 14:P4
Row 15:K4
Row 16:P4
Row 17:K2tog, K2tog (2 sts)
Row 18:P2
Row 19:K2tog
Bo, weave in ends.
Make 2nd panel. When Bo leave a long tail to seam the two sides together.
Lay one side on top of the other, wrong sides facing each other. Seam down one side and across the bottom using the whip stitch. Add a small amount of poly-fil as you seam to top. Fasten off, weave in ends.
Trunk:
When you cast on, leave a tail long enough to attach trunk to tree.
Co 6
Row 1: K6
Bo, weave in end.
Sew trunk to tree.
