Gauge:
4” x 4”= 9 sts x 8 rows in sc
Gauge isn’t super important on this pattern.
Measurements:
11.5″ at widest part with frill edge
8″ from center to tip of heart with frill edge
The pillow is worked in two panels and seamed together.
Pattern:
Ch 1 does not count as a St
Ch 2, turn
Row 1: Inc in 2nd Ch from hook, Ch 1, turn (2 Sc)
Row 2: Inc in each St, Ch 1, turn (4 Sc)
Row 3: Inc, Sc 2, Inc, Ch 1, turn (6 Sc)
Row 4: Inc, Sc 4, Inc, Ch 1, turn (8 Sc)
Row 5: Inc, Sc 6, Inc, Ch 1, turn (10 Sc)
Row 6: Inc, Sc 8, Inc, Ch 1, turn (12 Sc)
Row 7: Inc, Sc 10, Inc, Ch 1, turn (14 Sc)

Fasten off.
Attach yarn to center St, Sl st, Ch 1.
Rep Rows 12-18.
Do not fasten off.
Sc evenly around the outer edge of the heart.
Fasten off.
Make second panel by repeating steps for first panel.
Do not fasten off after you Sc evenly around the edge of the heart. Make sure you have the same amount of stitches around the edge as you did on the first panel.
Weave in ends before you crochet the two panels together.
Lay the heart with yarn attached on top of first half so wrong sides are facing each other.
Sc around the outside until you get to the top center of the heart. Stop and Stuff with poly-fil. Finish Sc until it’s closed.
Note: If you do not want to add the frill around the edge fasten off and weave in ends now.
Frilly border:
*Sl st in next St, Ch 2 Rep * around until you get to top center of the heart, Sl st in next 3 center Sts, Ch 2, *Sl st, Ch 2 Rep * until you get to the last St, Sl st in 1st Sl st at beginning of round.
Fasten off, weave in ends.
