Abbreviations:
Blo- back loop only
Ch- chain
Fhdc- foundation half double crochet
Hdc- half double crochet
Sc- single crochet
Sl st- slip stitch
St(s)- stitch(es)
T- turn

Pattern:

Row 1: FHDC 24, Ch 1, T
Rows 2-22: Hdc 24, Ch 1, T
Row 23: Hdc 24, Ch1, Do not T

Now we’ll be working in rounds around the edges of your rectangle.

Rnd 1: You’ll Sc 24 Sts down the left side (one Sc at the end of each row), adding 2 Sc at the end of the last row, Ch 1 at the corner, Sc 24 across the bottom, Ch 1 at the corner, Sc 24 Sts up the right side (one Sc at the end of each row), adding 2 Sc at the end of the last, Do not Sc across the top (row 23), Sl st, Ch 1 in 1st St of row 23.
Rnd 2: Sl st in each St around (including the St you Sl st, Ch 1 in)excluding the Ch 1 Sts at the corners (96 Sl st)

Now we’ll be working in the space below the Sc Sts from Row 23.

Rnd 3: Sl st, Ch 1, Sc around in the space below the Sc Sts from Row 23 and the Sl st rnd. (See above) (96 Sc)
Fasten off, Weave in ends. Flip right side out.
