The pillow is worked in one continuous piece. You will start row counts over when you start the chart portion.
The chart is worked from the bottom right corner, right to left.
Ch 1 does not count as a stitch.
Stuff more Poly-fil around pillow insert if needed before seaming the last side closed.
If using only poly-fil to stuff your pillow. You will seam two sides before you start adding the poly-fil. Seam some of the last side closed, add more more poly-fil as you seam it closed.
Pattern:
With main color yarn:
Ch 45, turn
Row 1:Sc in 2nd ch from hook, Sc 43, Ch 1, T (44 sc)
Rows 2-55:Sc in Blo across, Ch 1, T (44 Sc) Do not fasten off.
At this point the piece should measure approx 22” width x 22” length. If piece doesn’t measure 22” add more rows or take away rows as needed.
When you start the chart on the next page, you will start your row count over at row 1.
Chart:
Now you’ll start the chart, Rows 1-50
The chart is worked from the bottom right corner, right to left.
Change colors accordingly. Always change colors in the top of the previous St.
I carried my yarn loosely behind as I do not like how you can see the carried yarn on tapestry crochet. If you prefer to do tapestry, please do so.

Your piece should measure 22” from the 1st row of the chart, a total of 44” for the entire length. When you fold the piece in half, lining up the first row to last row it should be folded right where the last row of the 1st half ended and the 1st row of the chart begins.
You will now lay the cover right side down and lay the pillow insert on one half. The pillow insert will be larger than your measurements. Fold the other half over, grab your needle and a long piece of scrap yarn to seam your pillow closed. Seam it closed using your favorite seaming method. The seam will be on the outside. I prefer the Mattress St.

Start seaming from a bottom corner where you folded it in half, up that side, across the top, and down the other side. If needed, use stitch markers to hold the top two edges in place. Be sure when you’re seaming up the side that the rows line up. You don’t want to stitch the side halves unevenly. When you get to the last side your pillow insert may be sticking out. Use stitch markers to hold it in place by stretching it over the insert. Be sure to seam it evenly down the side. Fasten off, weave in ends.

If using only poly-fil to stuff your pillow. You will seam two sides before you start adding the poly-fil. Seam some of the last side closed, add more more poly-fil as you seam it closed.
