Mini Plant Basket
When I designed the Mini Plant Basket Crochet Pattern, I not only wanted it to hang but also to be able to be used as a non-hanging basket. The back of the basket/bottom is flat so it can hang or sit on a desk top or table.

Measurements:
Opening Length: 5.5″ from top of basket(at base of loop) to the bottom edge.
Opening Width: 3.5″
Height: 2.75″-3″

Abbreviations:
Ch- chain
Dec- decrease (sc the next 2 sts together)
Flo- front loop only
Inc- increase (2 sc in same st)
Rep- repeat
Sc- single crochet
Sl st- slip stitch
St(s)- stitch(es)
Front Loop Only (Flo):
Normally, you insert your hook under both the loops that make up that top V shape. To work in the front loop only, insert your hook under only the front loop instead. The front loop will the bottom of the v shape, closest to you.
Pattern:
Rnd 1: Make a magic ring, Sc 8, Sl st to 1st Sc, Ch 1 (8 Sc)
Rnd 2: Inc in each St, Sl st, Ch 1 (16 Sc)
Rnd 3: *Inc, Sc Rep from * around, Sl st, Ch 1 (24 Sc)
Rnd 4: *Inc, Sc 2 Rep from * around, Sl st, Ch 1 (32 Sc)
Rnd 5: Sc in Flo (including the St you Sl St in), Sl st, Ch 1 (32 Sc)
The next 5 Rnds are worked in continuous Rnds. Use a Stitch Marker to mark the 1st St of each Rnd if needed.
Rnds 6-10: Sc 32
Rnd 11: Sc 12, Dec, Sc 1, Dec, Sc 1, Dec, Sc 12 (29 Sc) Do Not Sl St
To make the loop for hanging: Ch 12, Sc in next St. Fasten off, leaving a long enough tail to wrap around the bottom of the loop several times. Weave in ends.
