About Me

Hi! I’m Jessica, a crafty stay-at-home mom of 3 girls. I’m married to my best friend. We have a 13 yr old, rambunctious Chocolate Lab named Marlee. Update: We lost our sweet Marlee in January 2021. We also have three male alpacas and two Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd puppies.

Three of my favorite things are coffee, yarn, and creating!

My three girls Francesca, Scarlett, & Kylee.

How I got started.

I taught myself how to crochet in 2012 after seeing a friend of mine on Facebook posting all of her cute makes. I thought, instead of vegging in front of the TV doing nothing. I could learn to crochet and do that while vegging! I grabbed some yarn and a hook, not having a clue what I was doing. But I caught on quickly, thanks to YouTube.

How I became a business

In April of 2015, I became a stay at home mom with the birth of my second daughter, Francesca. That’s when I decided to turn my hobby into a business. Over the next few years I sold my items but didn’t really put forth much effort. That all changed in May of 2017 when I joined Instagram and found the amazing maker community. I’ve made lots of maker friends online, which was awesome because I didn’t have any yarny friends in real life. I couldn’t believe how helpful everyone is and all of their business tips have helped me grow. In January 2018, I taught myself how to knit. That quickly became my new favorite thing to do. Don’t tell crochet! I also finally got up the nerve to release patterns later that year. We welcomed our 3rd daughter, Scarlett, on Valentines day 2019.

In 2020, I decided that Jessica Paz Creates would be my pattern designing business. But I love selling finished items too so I opened up another Etsy shop, Three Wild Daisies.

Looking for knit and crochet patterns from market bags to garments? All of my patterns are available in my Etsy shop, on Ravelry, and Love Crafts. Whether you’ve been making for years or are new to the crafts, there is always new tips and tricks to learn.

Yarn and coffee go together like peanut butter and jelly!

When I’m not playing with yarn you’ll find me spending time with my family, our animals, watching Downton Abbey for the one millionth time, or watching a good true crime show. I run on coffee and little sleep. Thanks for joining me in my crazy, creative life. -Jessica Paz (pronounced Pawz)
